Description:
The Thomaston Housing Authority is seeking an experienced and dedicated Executive Director. This position is responsible for the daily operations of two affordable housing communities serving the elderly and disabled residents.
Manage two properties: One USDA-RD (rural development) and one state funded property. Income based housing programs. Approximately 20 hours per week per property (40 hours total). Paid vacations and holidays.
Experience in affordable housing management preferred. Knowledge of USDA rural development and/or state housing programs a plus. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Experience working with the elderly and disabled population is desirable. Ability to oversee property operations, regulatory compliance, budgeting, and resident relations. The ideal candidate will be a motivated professional committed to providing quality housing and services while ensuring compliance with all applicable program requirements.

Public Works Mechanic

Description:
This position is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of town owned vehicles and equipment for safety and maximum performance. Repairs engines of town owned vehicles and equipment. Snow removal in the absence of employees and in addition to staff when conditions warrant. Must have knowledge of diesel engines, gasoline powered engines, and small engine repair. Working knowledge of diagnostic machines desired.
Must possess a valid CDL "B" or "A" license. Automotive mechanical classes preferred. Prior experience of at least 3 years in a similar work environment. Salary to commensurate with experience.
